daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Distractions distractions...always something to detract or attract, however you state it, are constantly pulling on us. Life as a human in this society tosses grenades of distractions constantly.  Setting ones faith in the proper place and recognizing where our strength comes from is the only way we do not become drug down and mired in the worlds woes. I wax philosophical not with haughty wisdom but with a sense of reality in my own walk.  I get caught up in drama before I even realize. Sure typically it's out of concern and as I grow in this faith I recognize junk and steer clear but of course there's always that one that sneaks in. Our common enemy has been at this for many many years and knows what usually works on humans. We are fortunate to have scripture handy to teach, reproof and to guide us whereas people a few thousand years ago didn't. They relied completely on that still small voice of God to guide them. Since we do have the opportunity to glean from others errors and literacy with the Word in front of us, let us not dismay or loose sight of our savior. Let us rejoice that we are in these times where we can see the Holy Spirit work. Times where we can see prophecy unfold. Man as scary as these times can be it's also rather exciting. Remember a promise Jesus made and think about it today...

 John 14:12-18
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.
If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever,
even the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you desolate: I come unto you.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that encourages us. Lord we ask for the insight from the words written so we can be what you designed us to be. Help our eyes see truth and repeal lies from the enemy. Teach us to stand tall in the face of the turmoil in this world. We ask for sound minds and words put on our tongues that honor and help those who don't know you. Help us see your light and not be distracted by the great impostor, in Jesus name we pray, amen
