Daily Prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Turmoil. Gee whiz turmoil everywhere. Rosanne Rosannadanna said it best,"it's always something". Do you get fired up and angry or do you roll your eyes and say,"here we go" or do you laugh and move through with the grace of Jesus? We are human and we all probably do all three! Keeping control of our minds and reactions is paramount and it is only possible with the grace of God. How do we get there? The Word, Godly advise, biblical theories and principles and not the worlds. The world would have us retaliate, God says,"vengeance is mine". The world would have us get em back, the Word says to "do unto others as we would have them do unto us". The world would teach us to fret over the future, the Word tells us to "let tomorrow worry about itself". Over and over the Word teaches us principles that equip us with principles to live by. Sometimes they seem contrary to human thinking but that is to be expected because it is Godly thinking. If we were capable of seeing the future, we would make the right choices all the time...maybe...God knows the future and knows what is best in the long run. Is the Word teaching us to be wiser? Well yeah but more importantly it teaches us to trust God. When the Word tells of ways we should behave it is for our good and not for dominance. Accepting that principle opens up the Word to a book of promises and warnings rather than a book of rules. A stop sign is for our own good for if we ignore it, we could end up in a heap of trouble from a ticket and fine to killing yourself or someone else. So the turmoil you are in or you see coming is indeed surmountable because all things are possible with God. When it looks like the sky is falling, put on your helmet instead of whining about the hurt that's coming.

Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow , for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
NIV

Matthew 13:18-23
"Hear then the parable of the sower. "When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road. "And the one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word, and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away. "And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. "And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."
NAS

Luke 12:24-26
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
NIV

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the principles in your Word . Lord we want to live according to the principles you set for us but we are weak and burdened with the worries of our days. Help us not worry but seek you and trust you will handle everything. Give us the wisdom and help us recognize the Holy Spirits promptings so we are bold and strong to do your will. Lord make our sight keen so we see and trust rather than fear and hide. Lord thank you for all your blessing. Lord protect the kids from harm. Lord ride with Sammy and Kellynn and keep them safe. Lord touch them. Lord guide our ways and protect our minds. Lord be with our leaders. in Jesus name, Amen
