Good morning! How are we faithing? How was your weekend and your Pastors service? Mine was so good! Having a Godly man to serve and to teach is so needed in our lives! My Pastor feeds my spirit and helps me recognise where I need to improve. Not by guilt, not by finger pointing but by showing me the Word of God. People who can relate the Word to daily things is such a blessing for me! My perspective changes and I am able to see things I may have missed. How about you? I think that is why "church" is so important. Ceremony and tradition has it's place but communing with God and growing in our walk with Jesus is the goal. From the moment we walk through the doors till we leave there is a purpose for everything. You may miss some things but I really think that not everything is for everyone. Some things that happen in church that makes you say,"huh?", but makes the person next to you have an epiphany. Some things speak to your heart but are insignificant to the next guy. Is that wrong? Not at all! Designed that way! Look at this;
Proverbs 4:10-19
Hear, my son, and accept my sayings,And the years of your life will be many. I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble. Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life. Do not enter the path of the wicked,And do not proceed in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not pass by it;Turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they do evil;And they are robbed of sleep unless they make someone stumble. For they eat the bread of wickedness,And drink the wine of violence. But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,That shines brighter and brighter until the full day. The way of the wicked is like darkness;They do not know over what they stumble.
NAS
That is good instruction and I guarantee everyone will come away with something different! The goal being;
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
NIV
Is that cool or what? We all are at a certain stage in this life filled with experiences and memories that make us who we are and we take from events and ideas and glean the meanings based on where we are spiritually and mentally. We can't discount things as worthless because it may be vital to someone else! Man that's a big one to learn and accept! Ever sat through a service and came away blessed and someone else doesn't feel the same? Or visa versa? Think about all this...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the patience that teaches us how to see through your eyes the things we need. Lord help us understand that what is for us may not be for some one else. Help us be alert to the needs of others and how cause and effects mature us in you. Lord bless the ones searching for answers to the things that are troubling them. Lord we ask you open our eyes to the needs of others and see that all works for good to those who seek you. Help us not judge others but remember that the place they are at is not where we are. Lord help us be a reflection of you! In Jesus name, Amen!
