daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Please please please feel free to ask if something is said here that makes you say, "huh?"  Don't hesitate to ask for more info because we all are at different places in our walk with God.
     Repentance is not changing oneself. Repentance is a change of mind and then going to Jesus because he offers forgiveness and grace. Addictions can still haunt. Old habits can still be present. The world tells us;

Mar 1:15
 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

and;

Mat 3:2
Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Greek word here for repentance;
metanoeō
met-an-o-eh'-o
to think differently or afterwards, that is, reconsider (morally to feel compunction): - repent.

  Isn't that interesting? It doesn't mean to change everything in your life but to change your mind and we know that the place for forgiveness and grace when we change our mind is with Jesus the Christ. With Jesus then does our life turn around and we begin our walk into the hereafter, eternity. No one is ever "good enough" for the grace offered but by repenting of our way of looking at things then we can start to understand the Word of God and as a result, we change and become more like Jesus. Approaching repentance backwards will not work and I've heard and seen a bunch of people try it that way. It was hard for me to admit I was wrong in the way i looked at stuff but once I changed my mind,repented, Jesus' grace, forgiveness and love came flowing in. Think about this today...

Remember The Ford family...the Matt Miller family...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your grace and love that leads us to repentance. Lord, we lift those mentioned, heal hearts and spirits. Touch your children today and open our eyes to real truth. Bless thos who are suffering and lead us to a better walk with you. Bless our tongues with your words so we speak truth with love. In your holy name we pray, amen
