Good morning! How are we faithing? " Don't make friends with a hot-tempered man, and do not associate with someone who is easily angered, or you may learn his ways and find yourself caught in a trap." Pro 22:24-25 just quoted here puts a pile of insight on what we talked about yesterday. We all know people like this and when we get around them to long, we get angry and after we are away from them we wonder why we were ever ticked. This is not being judgmental but recognizing things that hinder us. Once we realize that this person exists in our circle of friends it is important that we remember this when the anger comes. I know I have caught myself all worked up over something or someone only to discover the anger was the issue and not what has happened or was said. If we allow our anger over someone else's actions or words, we have become a slave to that person and most times, they don't even know.
Pro 29:22
An angry man stirs up arguments, and a hot-tempered man causes many transgressions.
Jas 1:19-21
You must understand this, my dear brothers. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. For human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, rid yourselves of everything impure and every expression of wickedness, and with a gentle spirit welcome the word planted in you that can save your souls.
Heavenly Father,
Help us be aware of the snares of the enemy. Help us remain calm and grant us the wisdom to see truth in everything. Lord we praise you for your Word that teaches us how to act. Lord we want to walk according to your Word but we are weak and thus stumble and sometimes fall, please forgive us when we do this. It is in your sons name Jesus we pray, amen
