daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing?  What is your attitude as a believer? Do you still get all twisted up over things going in a way contrary to what you think they ought to? Are you able to look at the up side even when you want to whine and cry? Why not? Where is your security and you faith? Do you rely on events and smoothness of day to effect your joy and demeanor? Our joy comes from knowing the creator loves us no matter what we are facing and that we know where we are headed ultimately. Our demeanor has a direct correlation to the love of God and our perception of it.  Look, things happen that tick us off, make us sad and even sometimes ask God why but reacting to an emotion in a bad or even worldly way can be harmful to you and to others.  Our outlook on the big picture totally has a bearing on the small one we face every day.  With assurance of salvation, the love God has for us, we are able to approach each hurdle one at a time so we can keep moving forward instead of back.  When you catch yourself reacting in a "woe is me" manner, remember Jesus acted in a loving sacrificial manner even when things sucked. Wow, and my inconvenience is worthy of blasting someone? Please...

  1Jn 5:11-15
And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.  These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God.  And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:  and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

 Gal 4:6
Now because you are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts to cry out, "Abba! Father!"

remember Pappy...remember Christina C and Megan B...

Heavenly Father,
We lift you up and praise your name! Holy is your Word Father! Help us recognize things for what they are and keep our emotions under control so we act rather than react. Lord we ask for focus on you rather than the world and it's events we encounter. Grant us wisdom to act correctly from your view. Lord we lift those mentioned. Heal, comfort and make your presence known...In Jesus name, amen!
