Good morning! How are we faithing? I don't know about you but I get tired and I need to recoup. Not physical tired from work but mental and spiritual tiredness and a reprieve of some kind is necessary. I always say that a a rock on a lake would be nice and there is some truth in that. Getting alone with God is important for our rest. Jesus got away many times, in fact, check this out;
Mar 6:30-32
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
Did you see that? The apostles were so busy doing God's work that there were times they didn't even eat. No leisure time to re-energize. Jesus recognized that and told them to get away and rest. Do you ever do that? I understand you have responsibilities. I understand it wont get done but if you get so worn out you collapse mentally or neglect your time alone with our Savior, you will start to fall down in every area of your life. Pause and look at things going on in your life. Honestly look at the failures and the successes. Determine if the failures are related to you being beat down and the successes come after a good rest or refilling of your mental/spiritual glass. There are many times Jesus got away alone to pray and seek God's face. If he had the need we most certainly do. One more;
Mar 1:35
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Heavenly Father,
Lord, we ask for wisdom to take a reprieve when necessary. Help us with strength to do your will. We ask for wisdom for our leaders in every facet of our lives. Help us be a light and salt unto this dying world. Let us be a help to others and not cause pain but help lead to the great healer of our whole being. Thank you for your grace. In Jesus name, amen
