daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? What is tolerance? What have we accepted as Christians in the name of tolerance? Do we compromise the truth of God in the name of tolerance? I know the history of Easter and where the bunny and eggs come from but how could believers in Christ tell their kids about an easter bunny and incorporate those events in church or their lives? Christmas too.  How could we stray from biblical truths? How did we ever allow worldly traditions and ideas permeate our belief systems? We've allowed abortion, same sex marriage, adultery, lying, lust, greed all to be acceptable when those are named sins in the Word. We are not suppose to point fingers and judge people but we have to state truth when asked. We have to stand on what we believe regardless of what may happen to us.  Any reasonable person can study the history of this society and see where this tolerance evolved. Now intolerance is prevalent with the people screaming tolerance the loudest. Tolerance must be defined for us believers in Messiah as this;  "hate the sin, not the sinner." We can and should speak truth. We must speak truth but we must not point a finger and condemn others. We must not get roped into the same methods the enemy uses. I am a sinner in need of a savior and so is everyone else. My sins are different than yours perhaps but it's still sin. In the political arena we can and should voice our approval or disapproval but not at others souls expense.  Didn't Jesus say one time "he who is without sin cast the first stone." ? Didn't he follow up with the lady in the story after no one tossed a stone, "where are your accusers? Go and sin no more." ? People, tolerance is not total acceptance of a behavior but a compassionate hand given to show truth and the path to repentance.

Joh 8:3-11
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,  They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.  Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."   And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"
She said, "No man, Lord." And Jesus said unto her," Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your truth that makes us free. Lord we lift up our leaders of this country and ask you give them your wisdom to make decisions that are Godly and not worldly. Help us live and show you in our lives. Help us be wise and compassionate. Lord forgive us weakness. We praise your name, Amen
