daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing?  Boy O boy it was an awful day yesterday for those in the storm paths. We just don't know what tomorrow brings nor can we do anything about the past.  My job happens to be education for preventing or surviving tragedies but sometimes man simply cannot prevent tragedies.  In order to prepare we must learn about the enemy, how it responds and the precautions we can take. Storm shelters, alarms, drills, training, simulations all lead to a safer environment but none is 100%. Seat belts and air bags don't help much if we are doing 95 and cross the center line into a semi. If we fail to pay attention to God and his Word while feeding our own desires we will fall like those before us did.  God's Word reveals things via warnings not because God is a domineering ogre who blasts us away when we misbehave but because he loves us and warns us of the things that will destroy us. We believers are not immune to travesty nor are we above anybody else. We are simply redeemed by the blood of the lamb. We are forgiven and these spiritual things revealed in the Word although foolishness to those perishing are food for our bones if we accept the gift of pardon. Jesus came to give us that and offer us a better way. He came for all of us sinners. He is the doctor for the disease of death. People, pray for those less fortunate than you. Pray for those that appear better off than you. Bless both because love cares for both. Be happy when someone succeeds because it is proof that we all can. Help when someone is down because we could be there too.

Heb 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

remember the Kleiss family...remember those in the tornado paths...remember the emergency workers and volunteers who are assisting in the storm areas...

Heavenly Father,
Forgive our sins. Cleans our hearts from all unrighteousness. Teach us to be sympathetic and wise. Show us your mercy and build our faith. Let us know you are with us and love us. We give our lives to you and ask for guidance and peace. Bless those we mentioned and touch our land. Grant weather so those devastated can work efficiently and unencumbered by conditions of nature. Be ever present in our minds and hearts. Thank you for saving us from the pit of hell. Thank you for showing us how to live. In Jesus name, amen
