Good morning! How are we faithing? Spent the last 3-4 days with a stomach bug which afforded me the opportunity to study. Many things I am interested in and many things that intrigue me. The symbolism from the Jewish festivals have enormous significance to today and help us understand prophecy. The feasts and festivals all coincided with a holy events or were holy events themselves. I don't have the space to get into all of them and there are many scholars and men of God who know much more than I do and can tell you way better so do some research. The Word told us to recognize the signs of the end of this age and in order for us to distinguish between signs and travails that reoccur we must be in the Word and we must ask questions. If we knew some catastrophe was coming we would prepare right? If we knew a snow storm was coming we would prepare ahead of time right? Wood for the stove, candles, batteries, food supplies, water, gas up the vehicles etc. so why would we not prepare ourselves spiritually for battles that we know will come? Why would we not prepare ourselves for a battle that could destroy us if we were not prepared? It doesn't take a scholar to look around and see where this society is headed. It doesn't take a mental giant to recognize that the enemy is very very active so lets shift focus from "me" and onto the Lord. The harvest is ready and we need to get out there for the reaping. I did a little study on wheat and tares and why would we not go rip the tares up and it seems that when you rip up a tare some wheat comes with that tare. This is what I'm referring to;
Mat 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Look into this on your own. Fascinating study. It seems that tares will be among us in the churches. Men and women who speak church but their fruit shows otherwise. They may stir up junk and when chastised or offended, they leave and take real believers ,wheat, with them. You must be concerned with you and yours. God has set leadership above you and it is up to them to shepherd. Man, we have enough to deal with keeping our own focus. If you are concerned with everything everyone else is doing you need to stop and take a look at your fruit and motives. This is but only one aspect of this study and I hope it causes you to reflect and ask a few questions. Time is short and we need to get it together and stop worrying about he said she said and focus on the Lord...
Heavenly Father,
Forgive our sins. Help us focus on you and your Word so we can be those beacons of your love. Help us not get butthurt over things that don't really have anything to do with us. Help us see needs and help meet them. Grant us wisdom. Teach us to live holy. Heal our wounds and envelop us with your Holy Spirit. in Jesus name, amen
