Good morning! How are we faithing? I didn't get a chance to write for thanksgiving as I was out of town and away from this contraption so lets revisit being thankful. Being thankful for bad as well as good things. I don't mean thankful for getting hit by a bus but after the pain subsides we need to thank God for the other things that incident brought. I know, it's hard to do this but it is important or the Word wouldn't have reminded us to. If we get swallowed up in the bad things we can become unappreciative and before long we aren't even thanking God for the good things and that can leads to finding fault with everything. Know people like that? Nothing suits them. Nothing is right and everything is an affront to them. These people complain about a bologna and cheese sandwich because the mayonnaise in on the cheese side of the bread and not the bologna side. They complain because the traffic lights aren't set to their schedule. The potholes formed just to break their ball joint. Are you one of those people? That's a question you have to be honest with yourself about so you can get over the ridiculousness of such an attitude. Look at what the Word tells us;
Eph 5:20-21
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Eph 5:20-21
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Psa 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
Lam 3:22-23
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Php 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Rom 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Heavenly Father,
We thank you Lord for all your blessings and ask for wisdom in the midst of sorrow. We do thank you for all things but sometimes we struggle while hurting. Forgive us Lord and we ask you prop us up and have patience with us because we do want to serve you. Heal our minds and this flesh so we may lift your holy name a tad easier. We lift the leaders of this country to you. Open their eyes. Grant courage to make holy choices. Lord we hold our emergency workers up to you. Protect them. Keep our children safe, in Jesus name, amen
