daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? What a weekend and what a time at church! It has been such an eye opening time lately for the Allen clan! Talked with people and learned much by listening. It is amazing when we listen without trying to formulate what we think or have to say about what others are saying. Sometimes listening benefits both parties in a conversation. Knowledge for us and a release for them. Our opinions sometimes about what many think simply does not matter when someone is bearing their soul to us. You know, in the end most things we state opinions about don't really matter in the end. If we show true wisdom from the Word and share Christ, that is way way more benefit to others then or own humble opinion...

2Co 4:5-14
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.  We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your gift of pardon. Help us be good listener with only your wisdom imparted to others. Help us intake what is necessary and toss out filler that distracts us from truth. Help us maintain our focus on you Lord...in Jesus name, amen
