Good morning! How are we faithing? It's so funny how we tend to look at the famous and a little envy comes in the picture. We see the glamour, what appears as lack of want no indication of woes at all. Look a little closer. Some are hooked on terrible drugs. Some are involved in debauchery. Some jump from bed to bed, marriage to marriage. Some are so full of themselves that when the adoration wanes they off themselves. These are the people our kids want to emulate? I can remember wanting to emulate people so I totally get it. Do you remember getting your tail whooped for doing wrong things as a kid? Do you still get whooped by God when you goof up? You notice those stars seem to get away with anything? Some do but only for a season. For my generation we saw Janis, Jim Morrison, Mama Cass, Jimi Hendrix all die young. I have no idea where they were spiritually but they never thought they would pass that young I'd bet yet they had fame, fortune, adoration. There are many more and it makes me wonder where they are now. Heaven or hell. If some chastising now keeps me on the narrow path verses no chastising like a child left to their own devices who falls prey to satan, whoop me now. Check this out. I never saw it the way we will discuss here;
Heb 12:6-8
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Does a father chasten his neighbors kids? Typically no because those kids have their own Father therefore if people who are not Gods kids won't get chastised by God but what they do in this life piles up until their life is done here then all that wrath they built up requires payment.
Rom 2:5-6
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Because of salvation we have undergone a transformation to son and daughter-ship which now God our Father will deal with us as his own. Those that refuse the gift of pardon will simply pay for all their sins all by themselves. E-gads! I don't and can't pay for mine because my sins, without Jesus' grace, would condemn me to hell. Man, today is the day of salvation. Make that commitment. Ask Jesus into your heart because I'll bet all those who hesitated and their life left them wish they could...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for chastising me when I need it. Help me to see through your eyes everything. Help us to minister to the lost in way they find you. Lord bless the children. Bless our troops. Bless our leaders. Show wisdom to all of us so we can better serve. In Jesus name, amen.
