daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Deception, it's everywhere. People trying to get an advantage, People trying to gain by whatever means at their disposal. We see it in business. We see it in personal life. We see it in church. Some are simply deceived by men with an agenda and the Word warned us of those people. I think that sometimes it's not a purposeful deceit but a case of being fooled by our common enemy. How do we recognize and avoid these people? First we have to know the scriptures and second we have to understand that beautiful, charismatic good speakers or singers doesn't mean they are on target. We naturally are attracted to these kind of people but the devil inside many times is not evident...at first. There are many people preaching a contrived doctrine that appeals to people and peoples vanity. There are many of these people preaching a feel good or a prosperity gospel based on mankind desires and wants. Many times they/we don't even realize we are seeking and or accepting this kind of doctrine. The enemy is fantastic at twisting and using God's Word against us. By omission or by misinterpreting a word a whole doctrine that will destroy us is formed and propagated.  Anytime a warning is issued in the Word one must take notice and keep their guard up or that warning is in vain. As you read the Word and a warning shows up, take the time to ponder and pray over that warning that you do not fall for it Her's some;

 Luk_21:8
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

1Co_6:9  
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 

1Co_15:33  
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Gal_6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 

2Ti_3:13  
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 

Tit_3:3  
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 

2Jn_1:7  
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your Word that nourishes us. Help us be wise to see when distortion and vanity are used to fool us. Lord we do ask for wisdom and eyes that see what you see, arms and legs to do your work and a servants heart that is not fooled by grievous men who only want gain. Lord forgive us when we sin against your Word. In Jesus name we pray, amen
