daily prayer

     Good morning! How are we faithing? We have to be careful where our faith lies. We have to be careful what we rely on. No matter how well off we get we must never forget from where we came. When the Word speaks of humbling ourselves it doesn't mean whip ourselves till we bleed like some cults do. The Word is speaking about knowing where we stand in the scheme of things. Hey man, you may be at the top of your game, whatever game it may be, but never forget where you began. We began naked, helpless, illiterate, unable to speak or walk. Look, our lives are based on many things but the only thing that has remained the same since time began is God. When we get full of ourselves is when we take that tumble to the ditch. I've known some influential people who still remained humble and thanked God for their blessings. I've known some destitute people who still put themselves first even when all around them fell apart due to selfishness. There's a proverb that says this much better than I can.

Pro 18:12
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.

We are told over and over about this principle. Look at these;

Luk 14:11
 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

1Pe 5:5-7
  Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Look these up in your Bible and any other references that explain why this principle is. We have to remember that even when we succeed we still owe thanks to God.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love for us. Help us remember where we came from and to see with your eyes those less fortunate than us. Forgive our sins Lord and cleans our hearts and life from all unrighteousness. Help us be who you created us to be. In Jesus name, amen
