daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Snow! And this early! Oh well..
Here is something to think about; Believing in your chosen truth does not necessarily make it so. I run into people all the time who disregard biblical truths because they simply don't want to believe them. No hell, no judgement, no afterlife. They miss so much by twisting their own wants into beliefs so they can serve their master, them selves. They say they believe in God but not his Word. They are foolish enough to think they can get past any judgement because they are good people. The Word says none are good. The Word says ALL have fallen short of the glory of God. The Word says that no one approaches God but by Jesus. So where would one come up with contrary views?  It's all about making ones desires more important than the creators. I consider my wants as suspect simply because of past mistakes. I know my thoughts and deeds. I know I have said some awful things in the past. The Word says we will give account for every idle word we utter. Good grief, I'm doomed. Ah but wait! Jesus' blood wipes all my sins off the page! Jesus is my defense lawyer for all my sins and he already paid the penalty so why would I dream of getting another defense? Like getting a pardon but refusing it so you can go to trial. What? Are you that foolish or nuts? You have a pardon! Why continue to seek a defense? Take what is offered and move on for pete's sake! Many will ignore and not accept the pardon Jesus offers and why is beyond me. Our accuser wants us to go to trial because he knows without a pardon we are guilty. We have the Word in hand and still refuse to read it and garner it's promises and still complain when we get what we ask for in the end. My heart hurts for the lost and time is short because here today is the day of salvation. You may never get that chance again. The roads are slick and anything can happen...

Mat 12:36-37
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Ecc 12:14
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil

Luk 12:1-5
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.  Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for pardon. Thank you for your love for us. Lord we ask for wisdom for the day. Teach us to be mindful of your grace. Help the lonely feel your presence. Help them not succumb to feelings. Help us know you, in Jesus name, amen
