daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? We have to be careful what we share on the internet and in person. There is so much junk flying around about Biblical truth that people take at face value without double checking. Remember "trust but verify?" History is full of misinterpretations and many people did silly things because of them. Take the time to read your Bible for yourself so you don't fall for fables and lies. The ones I seem to get in e-mail and social sites is the promise of wealth/health if you send this picture to a bazillion people in 6 seconds. We are true believers and ought not perpetuate things like this. All through history there have been false teachers that appeal to the base desires and or Utopian wishes of people. There have been get rich schemes as long as I can remember and they all are crap. There are quotes and sayings that have no Biblical base whatsoever but they keep being repeated. It is real interesting all the different things predicted, were talking about Biblical prophecies now, that have not happened. Not because they won't but because they were misinterpreted but if one had studied the Word one would have seen the mistakes and sometimes outright folly and then ignored it all. Don't get caught up in these things. Don't believe it because your Mom said it or your Pastor said it. Trust but double check because those leaders/teachers are just as fallible as you and I are.

Php 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Php 4:9
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

1Th 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1Jn 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the time we have to explore and study your Word. Open our eyes to your Word and let us not be deceived by the World. Protect our minds from satan and his minion. Let us see mistakes in interpretation so we don't perpetuate them. Help us be honest and fearless so we don't give in rather than correct. Help us be compassionate with our lips so we hurt no one. We life our leaders to you and ask they get a vision from you and see the path to take. In Jesus name, amen
