daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Time is interesting. Yesterday is over, tomorrow is yet to happen and every minute, every second of today is new. I remember being a teen and not being able to wait till I could go drag racing. I remember not being able to wait until I had kids. After having kids I foresaw grand kids. Well here I am a grandpa, former drag racer, in the job I saw back in the 70's as perfect. The Word has many verses about our time here being short in the grand scheme of things and I have an inkling what that means. As a history buff I read about people in the past and picture them looking forward to the same things we all do. They had dreams and aspirations just like us. They worked and strove for life just like we did and do. As things transpire I picture my Dad when he was my age and how he saw things. I think of those people who came to this country for the first time and all they endured. Then I think about all the people who came in contact with Jesus. How bizarre it must have seemed at first but when they finally realized who he was, how mind blowing it had to be. We all tend to work for the weekend, wait for the work day to end, strive for this or that and miss each moment we actually live waiting or wishing for something we deem better. Silly aren't we. Lets try to see through a blessed heart. Lets not allow time to escape waiting on what is already here. Our salvation is here and eternity begins with that gift of pardon. Our forever in in progress. We are born again through Jesus the Messiah and we are worried about the car payment? How about living like we are renewed by the blood of Jesus and indwelt by the Holy Spirit knowing we have forever to live. So these vessels we occupy may smack us around but isn't life bigger than that? Just think about it...

Job 42:2
I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

 Ecc 3:14
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Jas 4:13-15
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

remember the emergency workers and infrastructure workers in the cold...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for life. Grant us wisdom to live it to the fullest remembering it is a gift from you and not of our choosing. Help us be a blessing to others and not a hindrance. Forgive our sins. We bless your holy name. In Jesus name we pray, amen
