daily prayer

     Good morning! How are we faithing? We fear the unknown. We fear what we cannot see. Fear becomes a burden in itself. Fear paralyzes. Fear causes us to run. Now fight or flight is a natural instinct that keeps us from being killed but it also can cause us to miss something important. I speak to many people who are afraid of death and all the associated things death includes. Death by cancer, death by disease, death by accident, even a natural death. Well the first thing we have to accept is that everyone has an appointment with death. Unless Jesus comes back first, we all will face death. But as believers, should we be afraid of death? No way man! Absent from the body, present with the Lord! Look, the idea of getting hit by a garbage truck is not appealing but the thought of passing on to our eternal abode out of these frail vessels we live in ought to be a happy prospect! Why do we as believers fear death to the point we don't even want to talk about it when we are assured in the Word that we will be better off? Back to that fear of the unknown mentioned earlier but if we ignore the subject and don't bother to see what the Word has to say about it, we remain fearful rather than joyful. If you know Jesus Christ as savior, reassure yourself with these scriptures. If you do not know Jesus as savior then you have not passed from death to everlasting life but are already dead and you had better take care of that issue first.

Heb 9:27-28
  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Rom 5:12-15
  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Look at this line of thought on the subject;

Php 1:21-26
  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.  For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:  Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

People, perilous times are knocking at our doors and we had all be prepared for what lies ahead. Get it right with Jesus now!

Heavenly Father,
  Forgive our sins. Cleanse our hearts from all unrighteousness. Come into our hearts today. We surrender to you. Open our eyes to trth and settle our fears. We honor and praise you Lord. We desire your ways and ask for that peace that only you can provide. In Jesus name, amen
