Good morning! How are we faithing? In order for us to be saved we must realize we are lost. How so you ask? Without Jesus there is no path to God. You cannot do enough, think enough, be enough of a good person to walk through the gates of heaven. Jesus said that if you think about that girl with a little lust, you have committed adultery. That leaves all the men I know outside that gate we're discussing. Be realistic, you may be a better person than that one you are thinking of but how does their life have anything to do with yours? There's no bell curve grade here. You are responsible for you and your repentance not anyone else. With all the junk going on in this world I know it can be hard to wrap your head around this whole salvation thing so lets talk. Jesus came to take all the sin away and to pay the price necessary for sin so we wouldn't have to. By him doing that we have a way to repent and have sins forgotten. His blood was sufficient to cover all sins. All we have to do is believe, repent and let me tell you, your life will change. So you say you ain't that bad? You've never killed anyone? Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen? A white lie, a pen from work, a cat call, a cussing fit, any one offense one time and guilt is on you so why would anyone take a chance on that one time sealing your fate? I don't know why it is this way, if I knew that I'd be God and oh man, I sure ain't God. So don't let vanity, self righteousness, pride or any other thing cause you to miss opportunity to save your soul. Today is the day of salvation. You may not have another chance. Ask Amtrak riders...
Mat 18:11-14
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Eph 2:2-7
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving us so much you sent your son. Lord forgive our sins. We repent this day and ask you come in our lives boldly and lovingly as a Father ought because we recognize who we are and lay all that at your feet. Teach us wisdom and grant courage to act on what we learn for you are God and we ain't. Lord bless those grieving today. Bless our children of all ages and remove the scales from their eyes so they see you and your truth. In Jesus name, amen...I smell flowers..cool
