daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Who knows the mind of God? Who claims to have it all together may be the biggest suspect in being misled. I don't know much but I know enough to know God is beyond time, above space, before and after all of us and the only real thing that exists. By definition we exist about as long as it takes winter breath to dissipate. We are here long enough to seek and serve God because he made us for that purpose. We get so wrapped up in the inconsequential things of this life we can forget what it's all about. I watch my pets play. I watch the deer frolic. I see the birds feeding their young in the nest and in all of that I see God's wonderful handiwork. When I see pestilence, war, skirmishes, sin in general and all the other awful things going on I see the war between flesh and God. God didn't make things worse for you, you made the choices. You decided to to go down that street or avenue. You took control and you decided your path was better than Gods. Wow man, how do men do that and have the gall to complain? How can a man ask "what has God done for me?" when approached with the gospel? Seriously? You entertain sin, walk around ignoring God and his creation and wonder why things suck? All our answers are in the Bible. We listen to talking heads in 2015 dispute the writings of eye witness accounts of Gods deeds. Really? We would rather listen to a guy in 2015 talk about things centuries ago but ignore 2000 year old accounts of things happening 2000 years ago. How does that make sense? It's like telling a D-Day veteran that Omaha beach wasn't that bad or it wasn't that cold in Bastone. Or perhaps the Mekong delta wasn't that humid. No no wait, hamburger hill was a skirmish. People, lets start looking at what is real and stop all this selfish whiny woe is me attitude and thank God for our lungs that breath and our legs that walk and our minds that can think and learn and above all a God that loves us so much he sent his son for you and me. Lets start treating others the way the Word tells us.

Rom 12:2-5
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

remember the people in Houston...remember all the emergency workers...remember our leaders...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word. Thank you for life. Thank you for opportunities to speak your Word to the lost. Help us know where we fail you and the courage to improve. Lord we love and honor you and ask for wisdom in all we do, in Jesus name we pray, amen
