Good morning! How are we faithing? Keeping myself centered on God in all I do can be a job sometimes when OCD kicks in. Squirrel! I have learned though that by dwelling on the Word and praying without ceasing keeps me grounded. My brain goes in 90 directions all the time and yet, God is right in front of my face. There was a time when events, things or whatever would distract me and I'd find myself back in old habits. Not so much anymore since Jesus became front and center. The things that used to distract me completely now only distract as far as the task at hand or interest but not consumption, know what I mean? When we really look at history, the earth, the critters, humans and all of those things in our life, we would have to be very narcissistic to think we are god and not God who is God and yet people do all the time. Who is more important to you? Have you not chose to make an appointment with Jesus as Lord? Are you still repeating the same junk over and over expecting a change? That is the definition of insanity. I really think that without Jesus as my Messiah and Lord, I would have succumbed to fleshly desires long ago. How about you? Have you honestly taken a look at where you stand with God or are you still hanging on to narcissism? David, who was a king, wrote;
Psa 101:1-8
A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for your Word that sustains me. Please forgive this sinner and don't let me cause pain to the lost rather let your light shine so they may find your love and grace. Protect us from the enemy of our souls. Open the eyes of our leaders. We lift Israel to you. We lift the Goal Heights to you. Lord, we bless you in thanksgiving for being our God. In Jesus name, amen
