daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing this hot summer day? It is really interesting when we look into Hebrew words and see what the prophets of old said. Some discrepancies are noted when compared to modern English but that doesn't mean the Word is wrong or has changed but rather we see words from our life and not the authors. I love to read the Word and let my imagination take me to the places and the time portrayed. I suppose what my minds eye sees is probably not real accurate but it is such a joy never the less to picture the events told. In my mind it is a time devoid of electricity and all the things associated with it, a time of transportation being horse back or ox cart, a time of simple wisdom from a family tightly woven in survival. I also realize that mankind has not changed at all and the thoughts and desires we have are no different than any time before. Oh the stuff varies but we all have the same needs and like I said before desires. Look at this;

Isa 25:8-12
  He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.  And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.  And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

Can you picture that? Can you imagine the joy felt when our savior comes and brings peace unto all his children? Can you see the time this was written and at the same time see us gathering with them, worshiping and thanking God for salvation from our woes and struggles? Doesn't matter what struggles does it. They are all the same and God loves us all the same. Man God is good...

Heavenly Father,
  Forgive us our sins. Forgive us when we think more highly of ourselves than everyone else. Thank you Lord for salvation that saves the likes of me. I ask your Holy Spirit drive out satan and his henchmen from our midst so we can carry on your good pleasure and that that good pleasure be in us. We lift up asked for prayer for unspoken as well as spoken concerns. Let your love shine on every situation. Bless our hands and lips that others see you in them. In Jesus name, amen
