daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Wisdom of this world doesn't work very well for long. I'm not talking about engineering wisdom but the wisdom of people interaction. The Word tells us to love our enemies. What you say? How do I love the guy who robbed me? How do I love the guy that calls me names and beats me up? I didn't say it was easy but it is the only way one can act and believe otherwise hatred, envy, contempt etc forms in YOUR heart and you suffer all over again and more so. Too many of us get wrapped up in ourselves. Too many get wrapped up in retribution. Our selfish hearts whoop our own butts every time. Me,Me,Me is the mantra a selfish heart. I watch people all the time taking offense to words and ideals. The media pushes that thought process really hard. So you're gonna let your feelings being hurt cause you to want retribution? Seriously? That's selfishness in a nut shell. Read these and think;

Jas 3:13  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Jas 3:15  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Jas 3:16  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Jas 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas 3:18  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Heavenly Father,
   Forgive our selfishness. Help us to act according to your Word. Help us to love the lovable, help the helpless and spread the Gospel by living it and not smashing everyone else but speaking only truth in compassion. Guide us this day. In Jesus name, amen
