Good morning! How are we faithing? Another beautiful hot day. I prefer cooler temperatures but I wasn't consulted. God has a way of providing what we need every day and sometimes it's not exactly what we want. Realizing that God knows what we need better than we do is a huge step to faith and confidence in God. I may want a loaded dually pick up with all the bells and whistles but God provided opportunity and wisdom to buy the older regular pick up truck because he knew I like to tinker and massage older things and when I do that I talk to God and relax. The new truck, although cool would bore me in a short while. That is wisdom that I may not see when drooling over the dually. Do you follow? The wisdom God shows in his Word sometimes escapes us because of wants or fleshly desires or whatever you want to call it. Having confidence that like the Word say, "I will give you the desires of your heart" will be carried out by God because he sees into our hearts and minds and know what is best. If we trust that God cares for us and believe he loves us, why would he not provide the best for us? May not be what WE think is best but down the road if we are seeking him, we realize that his choice was better than ours, in fact, our choice could have led to disaster.
Matt 11:28-30"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
NIV
2 Tim 4:18
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
NIV
Phil 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
NIV
Gal 2:20-21
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
