Good morning! How are we faithing? The interesting thing I have found in my travels is that people have this preconceived idea of how God imparts gifts. They think if they think good thoughts, toss a dime in a guitar case on the corner, help an old lady across the street that God now owes them. They tend to be superstitious forwarding e-mails and posts on the social sites expecting a return because of their action. There is nowhere in the Word that tells us that method is how it all works. Our good deeds are a result of the gift of pardon Jesus gave. Our good deeds come from a thankful heart. Are there promises for some things? A return of sorts?  Yup. There sure are and certain principles work always but if your heart isn't in it or you don't know Jesus as savior it will all be foolish to you. Who says give and you'll have more? Who says forgive and help the ones hurting you? God does and to the world it is foolish. The spirit that enters us and is reborn, revived from being dead can now understand spiritual things that a dead spirit couldn't. Do dead dogs come when called? Do steaks respond to the feed trough being filled? Of course not so how could a dead spirit respond to anything unless it is revived to life. Your spirit was dead and now is alive in and because of Messiah Jesus. "Ye must be born again" is exactly this. Your body is the vessel we live in and it's passing away but our spirit lives on either alive to Christ or continues to death in hell. Your choice.

Mat 7:24-25
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

 1Jn 3:22-24
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your gift of pardon. Quicken our hearts to your ways and what you would have us do. Help us see the needs around us and grant the wisdom to act accordingly. Lord if there is anyone reading this that needs to know your salvation, open the eyes of their hearts to reach out to you. in Jesus name, amen
