Good morning! How are we faithing? These verses I found very interesting and thought provoking. Not so much a theme today as introspective and direction pointing. Sometimes it's the simple sayings that have the most power and relevance to our lives. Read over these and think;
Proverbs 6:20My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
NIV
Deuteronomy 4:9-10
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. NIV
1 John 5:1
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
NIV
1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
NIV
We have a responsibility to pay attention to what God teaches. Our life needs these words to point the direction we ought to take in this life. Wisdom is gleaned from truths that we discover in the Word. Passing them on so others may know what we discover is important for a family or circle of friends to thrive! We can't expect others to act correctly without direction anymore than we will. Pray, seek God's wisdom in the scriptures. Treat it as loving guidance and not guilt ridden drudgery. Ask when you need something. Help is available anytime.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom that keeps us from spiraling out of control. We ask for blessings and your hand of mercy on us. Lord show us how to share your principles with those we need to. Teach us to be humble and receptive to the needs around us. Lord thank you for all you teach in your Word. Lord bless the kids and grant us patience so we can be good role models for all. in Jesus name, Amen
