Great morning! Lots of interesting conversations lately that include God's grace. Sometimes we forget about the grace of Jesus. Sometimes we get bogged down with things that cover our sight of his glorious grace. His grace that saved us from hell and provided us with eternal rest with him. Grace that is so contrary to the worlds way of thinking. Grace that forgives us, past, present and future wrongs. Do we have license to do as we wish? Another topic but when we seek God's will our desires change from carnal to spiritual. We see things from a perspective that we haven't before. Do we still stumble and fail? Well sure we do. Nobody is perfect except God but we are under grace rather than the condemnation the law brings. Hard concept to get a hold of sometimes but believing and standing on the belief is liberating. No longer do we have to whoop our selves when we fail but only go to the master, repent and we are forgiven.
Ephesians 2:4-10But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
NIV
John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
NIV
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
NIV
1 Peter 1:13-16
Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
NIV
We move on and with the grace Jesus gave us. How cool! How liberating! How we must now show the love of Christ in everything. Different concept than what the world teaches so get into the Word and pray for our battle has begun! We are now at war with the dark forces and the world teachings!
Heavenly Father,
Bless us this day and every day. Give us the courage to stand for you. Show us your grace and that your principles do indeed work. Lord help us sift all the junk out of our lives and help us live the grace you taught and are still revealing. Lord we ask you cover us and alert us. Help us be wise in all we do. Show us and make us recognize your ways. Lord, thank you for loving us in Jesus name, Amen
