Good morning! How are we faithing? Do you thirst for God? Do you find yourself wanting to know him more or are you satisfied with ritual and a couple hours on Sunday? Are God's words on your mind in everything you do? Do you contemplate any action you take by comparing it to Godly principles? People, salvation is more than a stamped ticket to heaven. Salvation was paid for because our savior loved us and wants us to have a life so rich with holiness that our enemy could have no effect on us. Our savior paid in full the price for yours and my inadequacies because he knew intimately those shortcomings. I can only scratch the surface of that kind of love and for those of you who have children, you know exactly what is being said. I love my kids period. I want what is best for them. No matter what they do I love them. I may have been upset when they screwed up but the love never changed. God loves us so much he sacrificed his son for you and me so I want to know him more and more. I want to do what is pleasing to him because I love him and not to earn anything or I'm "suppose to". You know, I'm far from having "arrived" but I am better today than I was yesterday. Where are you?
Psa 63:1-8A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for the things on this earth you set in place to enjoy. Let those we meet see you today. Let them see love and let us see the heart and not what our eyes see. In Jesus name, amen
