       Good morning! How are we faithing? Speaking of Hell yesterday brought up many questions and thoughts. The actual law of Moses was treated as strict guidelines while missing spiritual implications. Jesus taught about what is in ones heart and mind. He explained that hatred for our fellow man is just like breaking the law. If we hold animosity in our hearts we can be guilty of many laws broken. Example;

 Mat 5:21-22  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

How about lusting after other people? Looking upon another and desiring them, lewd thoughts etc.

 Mat 5:27-28  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:   But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

You see what Jesus was getting at? Fix your heart! Learn to keep your emotions in check. Pretty women and handsome men are everywhere. Appreciate God's handy work without allowing your desires to cloud your mind. People tick us off a lot. Don't sin in anger! Resolution in your heart must come first with forgiveness and prayer for the offender. Self defense in dangerous situations aside, be quick to forgive. Lusting after ones spouse is debatable as lust but keep your minds desire on your spouse and not the neighbor. There are more in chapter 5 of Mathew, read up.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word that teaches us how to live holy. Help us keep our mind and hearts eye on you and your truth and help us refute the devils ploys. In Jesus name, amen
