Good morning! How is your focus? Do you get sidetracked easily? Yeah, I understand, me too. It seems that so much attention grabbing things go on all the time. It's important to get alone and quiet with the Lord. Make the time, whether it's on the pot or first cup of coffee in the morning or that few minutes right before bed. Seeking God's face and wisdom is paramount to our well being. Besides the physical benefits, the mental benefits are so huge that we should not neglect that time. Our Father in Heaven wants to talk to us and be with us all the time. He wants us to bring everything to him. Our walk with God and the time spent effects our countenance and our mental stability. Being able to bring all things to the Lord in prayer is like filling up your tank at the gas station. We flat cant run on empty anymore than our car can. Our spiritual state will effect our physical state.
Romans 1:18-23
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God,they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animalsand crawling creatures. NAS
Look at that and ponder. It sure is easy to get caught up in the wisdom and ways of the world but it leads where? Destruction, turmoil, mental anguish, fear, on and on it goes. God's presence is so obvious and yet the world denies it. Why? For their own desires. It's selfishness. Selfishness in anything leads down a bad path. Think about that and examine yourself and seek God's wisdom instead of the worlds. Don't condemn yourself, be wise and pray and read and work towards correcting that behavior. Be of good cheer and thank God for revealing these things to you!
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your majesty and wisdom that you can show us your better way. We lift up the hurting people who need your wisdom and grace. Help us be the best witness of your love that we can be. Thank you for all you do, in Jesus name, Amen!
