Daily Prayer

Great morning to you! How are we faithing? Do you find yourself concerned with someone elses faults? Boy oh boy that is very dangerous. That can lead to being judgmental in a hurry! Citing a wrong is one thing but picking the person apart for it is not very loving. We all goof so what gives us the right to point and condemn? Remember;

1 Peter 4:18
And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" NIV

Do you think jumping on someone will help them see God in you or lead them to Christ? This isn't about correction of kids or correcting things at work, this is calling names and belittling our fellow humans.Unfortunately some people need to put others down to feel better about themselves.

Luke 6:41-42
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother,'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye,and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. NIV

A loving gracious heart is what we need. Showing compassion and helping is what we need to do. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Remember too that the devil uses these things to blow our witness to shreds.

1 Peter 5:88
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:KJV

Pray all the time! When you are about to blow, pause and pray! Simple as, "help Lord" may be all you have time for. Fury builds fast in some people, are you one? Condition yourself to respond in prayer quickly. Takes practice but it can be done. Remember;

Proverbs 12:18
Reckless words pierce like a sword,but the tongue of the wise brings healing. NIV

Dwell on that one...remember the people working outside around here, man, hot hot hot!

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom and your Word. Teach us to hold our tongue and to speak only truth and blessings. Show us your mercies in all we do. We ask for wisdom in our speech. Be with those who toil in the sun, keep them safe. We ask that you help us see you in all we do. Thank you for your grace and love that Brianna came forward and gave her life to you! Be with the children, keep them safe from all the junk the devil tosses at them. We humbly ask these things in Jesus name, amen
