Stuff aint necessarily bad in its self but we need to thank the Lord for what we have and what we don't. Asking God for everything we need and want and accepting the answer is sometimes hard.
Matthew 6:19-24
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
KJV
Those verses are pretty revealing. It's all about where your heart is. Jesus is our focus and the wisdom we get from the Word is so much more important than the stuff we can get. Keep your perspective and you will do fine. God wants us to enjoy this world but not at the expense of our souls. Be careful "stuff" and success doesn't replace God. Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all you give us. Thank you for the wisdom to achieve. Teach us to set all this world in its proper place. We lift the mentioned people and their needs to you. Bless them and let them know you care and are in charge. Help us deal with things that come our way and keep the dark enemy at bay. Thank you for your wonderful gifts and we praise you for it all. In Jesus name we pray, amen
