Daily Prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Ever think about exactly what Jesus did for you? Here it is in a nutshell;

2 Corinthians 5:21
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
NIV

Man o man, God's son Jesus, who hadn't done anything, gave himself as payment for sin, which we all did, so that we could be with him and the Father in heaven forever. Why would he do that? Would you go to jail for the neighbors shoplifting charge? Same thing. He loved us so much that he gave his life, capitol punishment, for what we did. That is unconditional love!

Romans 5:19
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
NIV

Catch that? Adam brought sin into the world by disobeying God's only command. Jesus atoned for that lack of obedience on Adams part so we could approach God clean. By sacrificing himself on the cross for us we become clean when we believe. Read Romans 6, peruse over all that it says, pray God brings it to life for you. Remember Donnie Conquest still in the hospital...

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your revealing Word that shows us your love. Thank you for your sacrifice . Teach us to be obidient to your Word. Show us how to live . We lift Donnie to you, let him know you are with him. Help us through this week that we be ambassadors for you. Grant us wisdom and faith, in Jesus name, Amen
