Good morning! Such a beautiful day. We are so blessed to be able to see God's creations. Yesterday I saw a fawn grazing by the road, so beautiful! Further down the road my eye caught some movement on the side of the road and lo and behold, a gaggle of turkeys. Probably 7-8 kids following momma around, never seen that before. Noticing our surroundings and not being ate up with our circumstances sure is a good way to get in tune with the spirit of God. He cares for all the stuff we see, including us. We've seen these verses before but they are so good;
Ephesians 5:15-20
Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
NIV
Lots of wisdom in those verses. We understand God's will through the Word. We live as saved people, don't doomed people who have no hope. We should thank God for what we have, little and huge. If you have trouble exercising cheerfulness in the Lord, seek out Jesus through the scriptures and believe the promises. Call a friend to pray, talk to him and tell him where you are. Ask for help and don't feel less of yourself when you need help. God loves us! Believe and make that commitment to him! Remember Maurice Mahar family...
Heavenly Father,
Help us count all joy in our life. Help us see beyond our circumstances. Help us have a thankful heart. We want to see Jesus! We lift up the Mahar family that you comfort and hold them close. Thank you for all you give and have given us. Teach us to be appreciative of others. Help us show your light so that others may have it. in Jesus name, amen
