Daily Prayer

Good morning! Great day to be a servant of God! Do you ever feel totally overwhelmed by the world? Get so bombarded you can't hear your conscience? Check what David said;

Psalms 55:1-8
Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy, at the stares of the wicked; for they bring down suffering upon me and revile me in their anger. My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death assail me. Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me. I said,"Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest, I would flee far away and stay in the desert; Selah I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm."
NIV

Sounds like he had the same junk bombarding him as we do today. Try to remember that anything that is coming at you has also come at someone else. The forces of evil know what works and ain't afraid to use it. Our salvation is with Jesus and our comfort is in the Word. Jesus spoke of trust and love and how we need to realize how huge his love is and how pertinent the Word is today as it was then. When it all seems to be tumbling down, know in your heart that you are saved and all this will pass. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Believe it, embed that so deep in your heart and no compromises. Looky here,

Psalms 55:22-23
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you;he will never let the righteous fall. But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption;bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.
NIV

Remember Diane Reed...remember our police and firefighters and all our emergency workers in the mid west ... remember the flood victims...

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your Word and the comfort and wisdom it gives. Help us see you in all we do. Help us not compromise our principles you have given us. Help us stand up for righteousness and give us the courage to do so. Help all the victims in the midwest that have been flooded out. Be with the workers, give them strength and stamina. Teach us to be a light for you, in Jesus name, Amen
