Daily Prayer

Great morning! Wow, is it nice outside! Fall is near and for me the blissful season begins! Non hot or cold, usually colors of nature, rustling of the fallen leaves, outside without sweating buckets. This is not the subject planned for this daily but I wanted to share.
Think about this,

Matthew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
KJV

This is telling us that good and bad happens to us all. That good days full of sunshine, good temperatures, good music and friends as well as car wrecks, ice and rap happens. Not to be flip about this but it is reality. How you cope with both is paramount. Recognizing this principle and talking to God,i.e. praying and supplication, makes all the difference in the world. After the first reaction which is based on your personality, take notice and modify it to be more God like. Does that mean to smack yourself if you can't do it right as it were? No! Realize where you need behavior modification and use the Word and the grace we live under as saved people to change.

Psalms 145:8-9
The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all;he has compassion on all he has made.
NIV

Oh man do we need to remember that! Next time you react in a way unbecoming of christian principles, pray and confess and ask for help! God loves and wants us to know him and his ways!

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for showing us all you do and how you care about the least little thing. Help us react so we bring honor to you and ourselves. Teach us to pray and confess immediately. We lift Darrell and Anna Millsap to you. Show yourself and help them see your grace. We lift Sheri Clark to you. Heal her and bring a miracle into her life! Bless all we do and help us remember your people need encouragement! Thank you for these fall days you gave for us to enjoy. Prune us so we reflect your grace! In Jesus name, Amen
