Daily Prayer

Great morning to you! Rise and shine for the light has come. The glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Do you realize how much and how unconditional God's love is for you? Do you realize that his love for you is so huge that he sacrificed his son for you? God loves you so much that we can't even fathom how much. What is real love? Is it tangible? Love itself, no but the results of it are.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Do you know of this love? Are you aware that God loves you in this manner? When my children were born, I understood complete and total love. The love you may have for your Mom or Dad may be so great you can't even explain it. None of those are close to the love God has for you. Gee whiz if he didn't love us, he'd have wiped the whole mess out long ago. He'd have washed his hands of us all or we would've never even existed. We ain't an experiment. We are his creation, his children.

Romans 13:9-10
The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Love is over everything. If we love in this manner, a whole bunch of stuff gets solved. If we love the way Jesus did, we won't walk around bitter and angry at folks. We won't be depressed over junk that happens to us. Now don't missinterpret this, we will get ticked from time to time but we need to remember to hate the sin and not the sinner. We need to not sin in our anger. Love will sustain us through anything. There will be times when we don't like someone but we still love them.

1 John 4:9-12
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Love each other, shake yer head and smile when crap goes down badly because you are loved by God! Anything that can happen to you is overcome by love.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your love. Thank you for teaching us how to love. Thank you for wisdom you give us with your inspired Word. Help us see that love and not get caught up in the circumstances we endure. We praise you Lord. We lift the people we encounter to you. Let them see you in us. Let us be bearers of the good news of your love. Teach us of you. We thank you for blessing us. in Jesus name, Amen
