Daily Prayer

Good morning! What a day to be alive in Christ! Our savior has given us a spirit of love and grace. He also has taken away our sins, past and future so that we may live according to love and not slavery to that sin. Do we still have sin and do we sin? Well sure, but we have a way to be forgiven and a God who sees only the son. The son sees the heart and knows what it's like to be in this mortal state. We are able to recognise the sin, ask for forgiveness and rest assured that it has been taken away. That my friends is a great comfort, for me because I sin all the time. Just can't seem to stop. I step in it but I know when I pray and ask, it is gone. Does that give us free reign? Ya kinda, but the condition of our heart when the Holy Spirit indwells it convicts us so we can keep improving.

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
NAS

I love these next verses, such confidence builders!

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
NIV

Man o man! We are chosen of God! He gives a hoot! He loves all of us. Does it get any better than that? Approach this weekend and from now on for that matter, knowing that God chose you to be one of his own. Knowing that like a father he is right there beside you. He even carries you when you are pooped. He gladly carries your burdens for you.
Remember our police and firefighters. Remember our soldiers. Remember the price that has been paid for you.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for you love and wisdom. Help us see you daily and help us know that we can overcome because you are right there with us. Teach us to be willing vessels of grace and love that others see you in us and want the same. Lord protect our service people in harms way. Grant them wisdom, peace and mercy. Lord show us how to live upstanding and in your sinless ways. Forgive us when we fail and protect us from the dark forces that condemn us. Protect our thought process from satan and his henchmen. Lord watch over our children and show us how to be examples for them. in Jesus name, Amen
