Daily Prayer

Good morning to you! How are we faithing? How is the vertical opposed to the horizontal view going? Ya, I know, not always easy but be of good cheer, Jesus is with you and in you. As we learn to look up instead of out, we learn to see that others have the same issues we had. They are trying to find what you already have. They are seeking peace and love and may not yet realize that the master already has everything they need. It is so important to teach yourself to pray first. Train your mind to look up first. Keep your awareness of the savior ever present. Complaining without fruition is a path to discontentment that was never meant for us. Jesus is our life, without him we are just spinning our wheels and not even getting down the track. Encouraging others as well as yourself is important to keep perspective and the best way to encourage is with Godly principles.

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. NIV

Isn't that wonderful council? Isn't that reassuring? Yes you will get ticked sometimes but see the need not the deed.

1 Thessalonians 5:13-15
And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else.

Don't confuse this with warranted butt chewing. Sometimes we need one. As long as we remember these principles of God, chewings whether given or received are met with eyes wide open so we learn and improve. Stop and think, "how would I like to be treated here?"

Your joy is in God. Your eternity is set so why get all wound up about junk here? Deal with it but getting uptight to the point that you loose sight of the previous principles serves who?
Remember Reggie's brother-in-law and his sister...remember the lost...remember our troops...and remember as we start turning on furnaces, check over your equipment closely!!, this is traditionally the time of year where I start to get busy with fire investigations so be alert!!!

Heavenly Father,

Help us see you and look vertically! Help us not get mired in the muck of this world. Lord we ask for healing on us physically. Some of us on this list need a touch from the masters hand. Give us the faith to stand on your Word and believe that you do have our best in store! Lord we lift up Reggie's family to you, show them your face, let them know you are real! Lord we ask for you to guide our troops, cops, firefighters in their duties that they are strong and wise. Lord help us see needs and not deeds so we can shine for you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
