Daily Prayer

Good morning! What a day yesterday was! I saw faith that was amazing. I saw love shown to me and to others that blew me away! I saw Jesus in a group of kids that was downright awesome! Whenever our enthusiasm for our savior wanes or we go through complacent times, we need to really seek God and his Word. We really need to seek his wisdom. When we see others who are troubled we need to reach out and love them.

Psalms 103:1-5
Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities;
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit;
Who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
NAS

We all have those times where we just aren't excited about anything. Seasons of life, depression, boredom, call it what you want. We need to recognise these times and ask God to come and renew our zeal for what is important. We also need to search the Word however we can! Listening to sermons, reading a christian book, i.e. a commentary on the Word, pray...pray...pray! These seasons may be a way for us to grow in the Lord! We also need to be careful we don't fall into old habits when these times come, and they will.

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.
NAS

Praise God when you are driving. Praise God in the shower. Pray for your spouse or child whenever temptation comes. It works. Remember where you've been and remember where you're going. Keep your perspective in dull times as well as jubilant times!

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your unwavering grace. Thank you for always being the same. Lord we want to always praise you so help us when we are in despair. Teach us your ways. Father we lift the children to you. Keep them safe. Gather them to you. Let us be beacons to the world. Lord we ask you lift us out of the funk we get in, help us continue to see you. Lord reveal to us anything that may be hindering us seeing your touch. Forgive us our sins for they are many, in Jesus name, Amen
