Daily Prayer

Great morning! How are we faithing? Lets talk a little about true love and how we love and are loved. This is not a sex talk but a talk about real love. The love you have for your child, the love you have for your parent or grandparent. The love that you cannot describe. The love that is so deep and absolute words are useless in describing it. The love God has to let his son die for you! Look and these and think;

1 Corinthians 16:14
Do everything in love.
NIV

1 John 3:11
This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
NIV

1 John 4:7-12
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
NIV

Having trouble loving others? Do you find it hard to separate the sin from the sinner? It is hard sometimes but we must do this because the personal attack is not in line with true love. You spank your child for doing something wrong. You haven't stopped loving the child or dislike them, you are correcting the wrong done. See that? That is how God loves us. That is how we are to love others. True love hates the sin, not the sinner. Those times when you don't feel love for someone due to what they have done, remember this principle. Read 1 John 4. You will see a theme and instruction that is so useful to us. Love is indescribable most of the time but our actions show true love.

Galatians 5:22-6:1
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
NIV

Heavenly Father,
We ask you help us truly understand this great love you have. Help us see what you see and love as you love. Lord we lift those who persecute us to you. Soften their hearts. Lord help us live the way we should and make us aware without condemnation where we need to improve. Help us resist the dark forces and love regardless of the sin. Lord we ask for the wisdom to see the truth. Lord we ask a blessing on our enemies and a blessing on our loved ones. Lord we bless and honor you, in Jesus name, Amen
