Daily Prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Who is Jesus? Who do the people who walked with him say he was?

Colossians 1:15-20
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
NIV

Hebrews 1:1-4
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
NIV

Wow! Quite a depiction no? With these descriptions and first hand accounts recorded in the Bible as well as other historical documents, it would be logical to say that the savior of the world is Jesus. That premise being said, it also would be logical to conclude his statements are true or he is the greatest fraud ever. Who did he say he was?

John 14:6-7
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth , and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
KJV

John 8:58
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.
NAS

Matthew 16:13-18
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He began asking His disciples, saying, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
NAS

This is enough to chew on for now. Reflect and believe. Trust him when all seems like the end. Trust him when you are under those rocks of life. Seek him all the time and reflect on his grace and love. Realize he loves you more than you love your children, a love that can't be described.

Heavenly Father,
Lord we thank you for your grace and love. We wrestle with doubts and fears and we want to know you love us and walk with us always. We know you are present when 2 or more are gathered and we know you hear our pleas. Lord thank you for hearing and reveal your ways so we can be patient with a bigger picture of your direction. Lord we praise and worship you even if we don't understand why things are the way they are. Our trust is in you. Keep us safe mentally and physically. in Jesus name, Amen
