Good morning! How are we faithing? I have discovered that the things I struggle with are in the spiritual realm. I have pretty much learned over the years that my "stuff" is inconsequential to my happiness and my well being. Things can give enjoyment but God gives real enjoyment. God's workmanship is astounding compared to humans'. We all do enjoy and receive fulfillment when we work at something whether it be our vocation or our hobby but in reality that fulfillment is either short lived or is only felt during the action. The happiness and fulfillment from God transcends everything in this world. Many a battle takes place in the mind, the emotion and in our spirit. I know I can fix anything on a car and the fulfillment in that is limited to that action but a hug when a friend is crying moves way beyond the action. God does the same. The battle we face in the spiritual world becomes important because how we see things will change. Our outlook will take turns we never dreamed when we see God intervene and miraculously heals our insides. God gave us his Word to equip our minds. He gave his Spirit to indwell us. He gave his son to save us so when we battle these principles on this planet we can pass through to eternity knowing the journey is for a reason and not just a waste of good carbon material...
2Co 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Heavenly Father,
We praise your name. We lift our lives to you. We ask your Holy Spirit reveal and envelop us. We stand on your promises even in the face of turmoil and distress. Help us remember you in ALL things. Let us see truth and see your majesty in everything we experience. In Jesus name, amen
