daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Ever have those times when you are not quite sure what direction you ought to turn? Sure you have your map or GPS but you still ponder the best route? My friend told me something that hit a cord with me. "The map may tell you the best route for a car but not a big truck". That made me really think about the choices we have to make and what resources we use. I've been dealing with things as of late and one minute the route seems clear and then that one lane bridge shows up and my truck wont fit, time to back up and recalculate the costs of a redirection and what route to take to get to the destination.  I don't have all the answers and man o man I want to know what God is preparing but I also have to trust that he has his hand on the steering wheel. I have learned though that my emotions cannot pick the road because emotions can meet a hairpin turn at any second and if I'm not paying attention, a field trip may ensue. All I am trying to convey is you are not alone and this road we travel is wrought with beauty and of danger. The best map we have is the Word and if we are not in it, we may get lost or worse. Like the dog and doe I met this weekend who are big buds, their love is immovable. God's love for us remains constant, we are the ones who wonder off in the woods.

Eph 5:14-17
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

2Co 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love that is steadfast. Open our eyes to your path. Let us not be afraid to speak truth or to be manpleasers but God pleasers. We lift the mentioned to you. Grant them safety, wisdom and compassion for those in need. In Jesus name, amen
