daily prayer

     Good morning! How are we faithing? Wow man, people talk to me about procedures on how things are suppose to be done.  When I was a boss, my concern was that a job got done, done well and shortcuts were allowed as long as quality didn't suffer. I have seen, and still do see, the attitude of control. People in leadership micro managing as it were. Some things have to be done like safety procedures etc. in the work place and church has some things that need to be adhered to for simple reverence but guess what? You don't go to hell from procedural things. There were and are people in power in the church today who pay more attention to procedure than the spirit. They pick apart a child of God over things that have no impact on the gift of grace. If our actions, within this thought process, dictated our salvation then grace does not exist. Because of grace we are pardoned. Because of grace we can have this gift of pardon by nothing we do other than accepting the gift. Once the gift is imparted on us we are required to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The whole council of God should be taken in and that begins with you and me in the Word daily. We must seek out the Lord in all we do. We pray. We read and ask questions. We proceed with assurance of the gift of pardon whatever may come. Read and think on these. Are you focused on how to closely rather than who?

Col 2:16  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Col 2:18  Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Col 2:19  And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Col 2:20  Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
Col 2:21  (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
Col 2:22  Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Col 2:23  Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Heavenly Father,
  Help us see your truth and not be sidetracked with procedures that hinder your relationship with us. Help us understand and keep in place the things that are designed to help us live holy. Help us praise you and not the things that lead to you. Grant peace inside our hearts and let us hear your Holy Spirit prompt us .  In Jesus name, amen
