Good morning! How are we faithing? Many times things are said and because it pleases us or speaks to a desire or previously received notion we accept it as true. During times of mourning we are told many things that just are not true. Those things said to try to comfort but in reality they are harmful. Saying my Dad that passed on is now an angel looking over me has no basis in anything. Angels are different creatures than us. We do not become an angel any more than a dog becomes a cat.
Too many times people justify or rationalize things because they want them to be so or they want to not accept guilt. "He made me do it" or "my Momma said thus and so therefore it is fact". What does the Word say? Momma and Daddy are human and can mess up just as bad as you and I. The ultimate authority in all things is the Word of God. If the Word is specific about something either we believe all the Word or none. We must accept what the Bible tells us or discard it all. Yes there are some misinterpretations for gain and some misinterpretations for use to point fingers but what it comes down to is do we love God or not? If we do love God and profess belief in Messiah Jesus than we must get in the Word, know the Word or we will end up not following him at all but repeating the same behaviors spoken about in the Word. Those things are for our benefit and not just to squash us under ogre like fingers. We are forewarned so we don't experience the calamity of wrong choices. God loves us more than we love our own kids and we warn them right?
Set the Word in good soil. Cement your beliefs in the Word and not the worlds view.
Mar 4:14-20
The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Heavenly Father,
Take all these distractions away. Give us vision for our lives. Let us hear your voice and seek your face. Lord we ask for wisdom so we act holy and for your glory. Show us where we need improvement and enlighten us to truth and lies. Bless those mentioned and touch all involved. Ease grief and despair. In Jesus name, amen
