daily prayer

Good morning!  How are we faithing? There are so many things that we all hear and see daily and we have a hard time separating the junk from worthwhile things.  I saw a cartoon yesterday and it stayed with me and yet I can't remember what verse in the Bible I read. Oh I remember the lesson and if it were not for a book mark, I couldn't find it very quickly. Isn't it weird how our mind works? I also noticed that the things that stick with us and come out when we least want them to are not always good stuff. Why can we remember word for word someones diss on us but we can't seem to remember wisdom from that old guy at work? I believe the Word teaches us to be careful what we take in and what we let go on by.  Something said or done contrary to scriptural teachings is still wrong no matter who said or did it.  The Word said God is not a respecter of persons and I think this is why. We are all fallen and then redeemed through Christ but since we still occupy a vessel in this fallen world we are susceptible to those said same things. Working out our salvation doesn't mean to go it alone it just means we have to be keenly aware of what hurts and what helps therefore caution is a requiem. As you go through today, take note of what stays or goes and ponder why. Write it down at the end of the day and see what stuck and what didn't. It's an interesting exercise and can help you to separate what you need and what you don't.

 Isa 56:1-5
Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.  Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.  Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.  For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;  Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for wisdom that makes the worlds foolishness visable. Lord, we ask for wisdom from you and we ask for a touch on those who are hurting. Comfort the mourning, heal the sick and open our eyes to your ways, in Jesus name, amen
