daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? I have watched some folks get wrapped up in things that are dangerous. How do I know they are dangerous? Because I have done them. I watch as people walk right into things and my warnings go unheeded because they thing I'm a dork or I'm interfering. As a brother or sister in Christ I cannot shut up when danger is near. I really think many times when an older folk rides our tail that they indeed are concerned for our safety and not being legalistic and pointing fingers. Sometimes that is the case so I want to encourage all of us to be careful we are not being legalistic or pointing fingers. Now as far as society and points of law are concerned, of course we must point fingers and point out the law but never, never should we chastise or belittle the people for the infraction when dealing with Biblical sin. Of course we are speaking about "hate the sin not the sinner". Is it necessary to be hard on them or a court of law make them pay for a sin? Of course but that is another direction of subject than what I am trying to convey today. As brothers and sisters in Christ I urge you to consider things told you even if the delivery is awful. I have had people tell me stuff that made me want to slap em silly but it was not the content I realized but after I calmed down it was the delivery. Check your immediate response especially if the hair raises on your neck. I've learned over the years to discern the difference between hair raising for protection and hair raising as the Holy Spirit nudges me and I still am learning. The only way we can progress in this area is by being in the Word so it comes to mind immediately.

Joh 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1Co 2:10-16
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Pause and reflect because wisdom doesn't react but acts. Don't believe everything heard just because of the source, check it with Scripture. Don't be fooled by scripture pulled out of context or used for an end.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that saves us. Help us see truth even when we are humanly hurt. Help us love as you taught to love. Help us see truth in all things. Grant us the courage to stand up to everything contrary to your Word. In Jesus name amen
