Good morning! How are we faithing? Ever feel worn out? Ever just want to go to the desert alone? The desert can be literal or just a representation of getting away from everything and man o man, I understand. How about you? Here is a very interesting verse that struck me this morning;
Dan 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Now this is Daniel speaking of end times in prophetic words but the line "wear out the saints of the most High and think to change times and laws" is what today's focus is on. Isn't this so true of today? The world is wearing us out with laws that are contrary to scripture and defy reason. We believers are bombarded with separation of church and state, don't use the name of Jesus, laws that are completely opposite of the Word of God. What is not surprising is how history repeats. The Roman empire did the same thing to early Christians. All through history we can see how believers were pushed away or simply made irrelevant by this method. In this country we fell for the notion it is ok to point fingers and hate certain sinners and accept others. Fool hardy. No where are we taught in Scripture to hate anything but sin and then sin is defined. We all are sinners. We must hate what is done but show compassion for the one doing it. We are to try to help them find truth and God. If they choose not to, that's on them. Cause and effect comes into play also. This today is to make you pause and examine where you are and if you have been influenced by this age old method of wearing us out to the point we believe contrary to Scripture things. It also is to let you know we are not alone in this historical method and God's Word still trumps the worlds, even if we are worn out because of it. Pray people because the times are short...

Heavenly Father,
Help us be wise and strong when things wear us out. Help us stand for truth and not lies. Open our eyes to your Word and grant us courage to take a stand wherever and whenever we ought to. Bless those suffering and let them see you. In Jesus name, amen
